Protecting your personal information is extremely important at VIMS. It's especially important for a growing marketing consulting company like VIMS, as our clients trust us to look after a huge amount of information that concerns their marketing strategies.

Wix Analytics & Reports is a built-in feature provided by Wix for tracking and analysing visitors' actions on the website. By collecting this data, we can optimise our website visitors' experience (e.g. which pages they visit and when, where their session is approximately located, where does a user land first or if they are coming from a specific referral). By inferring on the data provided by Wix Analytics & Reports we can learn more about site traffic and if there are any issues present that limit the site's availability to visitors.

 

Basically, as a website owner using Wix Analytics & Reports, we are using cookies to collect data about the Internet traffic information: ​​

  • Traffic over Time: day of visit, page views, site sessions, unique visitors, average session duration

  • Traffic by Time of the Day: what day of the week and during what hour

  • Traffic by First Page Viewed: which page do visitors land on when they reach your site

  • Traffic by Location: from what place do visitors come from 

  • Traffic by Device: Device Type (mobile or desktop for example)

  • New vs. Returning Visitors 

  • Referral by Category: sees how people find our site: direct URL, social, or search

  • Referral by Site : finds out where visitors come from: Google, Linkedin & more.

 

All this data is pseudonymized and Wix will never use the collected data to identify individual users or to match it with additional information on an individual user. Each visitor has control over the placement of cookies.​
